MCN Health Expands Outpatient Physical Therapy to Okemah Community Hospital
OKEMAH, OK – The Muscogee Nation Department of Health proudly announces the opening of a new outpatient physical therapy department at Creek Nation Community Hospital in Okemah. For the first time ever, physical therapy services will be available directly at this facility, addressing a critical need in the southern region of the Muscogee Reservation.
“We identified a significant demand for physical therapy services in this area,” said Tim Hicks, Acting Secretary of Health. “Being able to offer PT here is going to be exceptional for patients.”
Previously, patients in the Okemah and Okfuskee County region had to travel to Okmulgee for physical therapy. Now, they can receive high-quality care closer to home.
“We know patients are more likely to follow treatment plans when care is convenient,” said Catherine Vass, Okemah Hospital Administrator. “We are excited for Okfuskee County and for the Okemah community to benefit from these expanded services.”
This new department is part of MCN Health’s ongoing efforts to enhance access to care across the Muscogee Reservation, ensuring that all citizens have the resources they need to maintain their health and well-being.
The outpatient physical therapy department will be open Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Patients will need an order or referral from their primary care physician to schedule an appointment. For more information about MCN Health and its services, visit Creekhealth.org.
