MAT/TOR
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program & Tribal Opioid Response (TOR)
Supported by the SAMHSA Tribal Opioid Response (TOR) grant, the Muscogee Nation Department of Health expands access to life-saving treatments and culturally responsive care for opioid use disorder.
The MAT/TOR Program provides individuals, families, and communities with tools to address the opioid crisis through a comprehensive, culturally grounded approach. With support from SAMHSA, we increase access to FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder, alongside prevention, harm reduction, and recovery services.
Our mission is to create a supportive environment where every individual has the opportunity to heal, rebuild, and thrive. Together, we are building healthier lives: For Our People. For Our Communities. For Our Future.
Why This Matters
The MAT/TOR program was created to help tribes address the opioid crisis by:
– Expanding access to treatment and recovery support services.
– Reducing unmet treatment needs through prevention and harm reduction.- Supporting culturally appropriate, community-based strategies that honor tribal traditions and values.
