Holiday Food Drive Underway Across Muscogee Reservation

OKMULGEE, OK. – MCN Health, in partnership with the Muscogee Nation and the College of the Muscogee Nation (CMN) Extension, is hosting a Holiday Food Drive December 1–15 to help support families in need throughout the Muscogee Reservation, with a goal of serving 300 Native families this holiday season.

Food Items Needed Most
While all canned and non-perishable items are welcomed, the following items are especially needed and can help families build complete, healthy meals:

Canned beans

Nuts and seeds

Canned tomatoes and tomato sauce

Granola bars
-
Peanut/almond butter
-
Canned fruits (100% juice)
-
Canned fish (tuna/salmon)

Lentils and peas
-
No-salt-added vegetables

High-fiber, low-sugar cereals
-
Applesauce
-
Dried beans and dried fruits

Crackers and jerky
-
Oats
-
Soup
-
Quinoa and whole grain pasta

Brown or wild rice

Instant mashed potatoes

Powdered eggs

Cream of wheat

Shelf-stable milk or milk substitutes
Donations collected through December 15 will be distributed to eligible Native families throughout the Muscogee Reservation.
Individuals wishing to donate may do so during regular business hours at any participating location.
