MCN Health Breaks Ground on $65 Million Holdenville Health Campus

HOLDENVILLE, OK — Muscogee Nation department of Health recently broke ground on a new $65 million Holdenville Health Center that will expand access to comprehensive medical and wellness services in the southernmost part of the Muscogee Reservation.

The nearly 68,000-square-foot facility is designed to bring services together under one roof to create a more seamless patient experience. The Health Center will offer primary care, imaging, laboratory, dental, diabetes services, physical therapy, behavioral health, optometry, audiology, and a drive-thru pharmacy featuring two lanes and a separate exterior entrance for convenient access.

“Most importantly, this project brings quality healthcare directly to an underserved area,” said Secretary of Health Shawn Terry. “When care and wellness services are close to home, our people are more likely to stay engaged and take ownership of their health.”

Beyond clinical care, the project includes an expansive Wellness Center with a half gymnasium lined for volleyball, pickleball, and a half basketball court, along with a pavilion and playground to support community engagement and prevention-focused programming.

The Holdenville Health Center is part of a broader $185 million investment in health facilities approved by the Muscogee Nation National Council. Designed to support approximately 100 full-time employees, the facility strengthens healthcare access while creating long-term economic opportunity for the region. Construction is led by Maska Builders, with architectural design by Childers Architect and financing provided by Bank of Oklahoma. The facility is estimated to open in January 2028.
