Important Notice for TRUE METRIX Meter Users

MCN Health has been notified of a recall affecting TRUE METRIX blood glucose meters.
If your meter shows an error, follow the steps below.

What does an E-5 error mean?

An E-5 error code may mean:

  • Your blood sugar is very high (over 600 mg/dL)
  • A test strip error, meaning the reading may not be accurate

What should I do?

If you see an E-5 error and have symptoms of high or low blood sugar, seek medical care immediately.

If you do not have symptoms, retest with a new strip.
If the error continues, contact your provider.
