OKMULGEE, OK — Muscogee Nation Department of Health welcomed more than 400 attendees to its Health Expo and Job Fair at the Mvskoke Dome in Okmulgee.

The event brought together more than 20 vendors and MCN Health programs, connecting attendees with available services, community resources and employment opportunities.

“The Department of Health continues to grow each year, and we are always listening to our citizens about how we can improve and expand our services,” said Deputy Secretary of Health Tim Hicks. “We want to make sure everyone knows how we are growing and what resources are available to them.”

Throughout the event, MCN Health providers and program representatives shared information about available services. Optometry, dental and pediatric staff were on site, along with teams from public health, behavioral health, patient experience and other clinical and community programs.

The Health Promotion and Wellness team also offered reduced YMCA membership vouchers, while MCN Public Health collected Tribal Health Assessment surveys to help identify community health needs and guide future programs and services.

MCN Health Recruiter Samantha Coon was also available to discuss current career opportunities and help attendees learn more about the application process.

“We currently have more than 100 openings across the health system, including both full-time and PRN positions in a variety of fields,” Coon said. “As we continue to grow, we’re looking for dedicated people who want to serve our patients and communities.”

The event also featured interactive activities, giveaways and door prizes throughout the evening.
