Health Promotion & Wellness
At MCN Health Public Health, Health Promotion and Wellness is committed to helping individuals and communities build healthier futures through education, movement, prevention, and culturally grounded support. Our programs are designed to encourage lifelong wellness by serving youth, adults, and elders through opportunities that promote healthy habits, physical activity, and stronger community connection.
Through initiatives like PLAY and LIFE, Health Promotion and Wellness works to make wellness accessible, meaningful, and sustainable across the Muscogee Reservation. From school-based prevention and youth camps to elder wellness, clinic-based activities, and community fitness opportunities, our goal is to support healthier lifestyles at every stage of life.
Health Promotion and Wellness provides programs and services that support:
- Youth wellness and school-based prevention
- Summer camps and educational workshops
- Diabetes prevention education
- Community fitness and physical activity classes
- Walking and wellness initiatives
- Elder wellness and social engagement
- Clinic-based health promotion activities
- Nutrition education and healthy lifestyle support
- Community outreach and partnership events
Health Promotion and Wellness is focused on creating lasting change by helping community members stay active, informed, and connected. Our programs are designed not only to improve physical health, but also to build confidence, strengthen relationships, and support a culture of wellness that benefits individuals, families, and communities alike. Across every program area, the goal remains the same: healthier people, stronger communities, and a better future for the next generation.
